The Swiss Franc (CHF) edges higher against the US Dollar (USD) during Monday’s early European session, with USD/CHF hovering around the 0.8100 area as the Greenback gives back part of Friday’s gains.

The US Dollar remains supported after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s hawkish remarks at Jackson Hole boosted expectations for a potential September rate hike. Markets have raised the implied probability of a September increase to around 57%, while US Treasury yields remain elevated.

However, the Dollar has eased slightly from Friday’s two-week high as traders remain cautious about assuming that a September rate hike is guaranteed. Upcoming US employment and inflation data will be crucial for determining the Federal Reserve’s next policy move.

For USD/CHF, the pair remains close to the 0.8100 region. Recent market data shows the exchange rate fluctuating around this level, keeping the Swiss Franc sensitive to changes in US rate expectations and broader risk sentiment.

USD/CHF outlook

A sustained move above 0.8100 could strengthen the near-term bullish bias for USD/CHF, while a rejection from this area could allow the Swiss Franc to regain ground. Traders will closely monitor US economic releases and developments in global risk sentiment for the next directional catalyst.

Key levels:

• Resistance: 0.8100–0.8150

• Support: 0.8050–0.8000

• Key catalyst: US employment data and Fed rate expectations
